Q: Why do I need a bio-recovery cleaner? Can't a normal cleaning company do the job?
A: General cleaning companies lack the proper tools, equipment, and training to decontaminate and remediate your property following a traumatic incident. This means that many harmful pathogens are left behind when the cleaning company is finished, which can cause illness, disease, persistant odors, and damage to your property.
North Star Bio-Recovery Services is not a typical cleaning company; in fact, we do not even offer general cleaning services, only bio-recovery remediation services. We fully decontaminate your property and completely remove harmful pathogens which general cleaners leave behind.
Q: What about those nationwide companies, wouldn't they be better?
A: There are several bio-recovery and crime scene cleaning companies that operate nationwide. However, what many people do not realize is that they do not have true offices within multiple states, they work with subcontractors who are often cleaning companies. When these nationwide companies subcontract a job out, the client gets charged even more, because not only does the nationwide company get paid, but so does the subcontractor. Additionally, it is uncertain if many of these subcontractors are trained and certified in bio-recovery and crime scene remediation.
Q: What kind of chemicals do you use? Are they harmful?
A: Our company prides itself on removing harmful matter from your home. To use harmful chemicals to do so would be against our philosophy. We use specialized decontamination agents which are environmentally safe. We do not use chemicals which could cause harm for any person or pet in your home.
Q: Who pays for this?
A: Nearly 90 % of all North Star Bio-Recovery Services jobs are covered under homeowners insurance or auto insurance policies. In the event that there is no insurance coverage available, we will work out reasonable, manageable payment arrangements. We also accept all major credit cards.

Q: How long do your services take?
A: Each job is different and each brings varying circumstances, so a blanket statement about the time a job would require wouldn't be accurate. When our technician responds to your home or business, a thorough evaluation will be conducted and you will be given a detailed estimate of the time required to complete the job, as well as a cost estimate and assistance with working with your insurance company.
